Questionnaire Results- Reflections
The results from the questionnaire set our target audience- mainly female, between 15-25. The song genres help to reflect what type of video the audience enjoy- as most R&B videos are quite narrative and upbeat, so we will plan our video mainly around a narrative. The locations suggested by those surveyed has been a major help, as it shows the conventional audience for our music video do not just want a video of an artist standing infront of a plain screen singing into a camera, they want interesting and different settings. Knowing which social network the audience use is also helpful in promoting our new artist, as we would want to advertise on social networks that people who would be more likely to enjoy the video would be on. We were unsure of whether we needed a band or an individual artist also, but the audience showed they would prefer a single artist, perhaps because there would be more of a focus on one artist. The look for our artist is very important as we need to know how the artist needs to dress/act, but the independent/quirky look was the most popular from the audience questionnaire.
