The video for Yellow by Coldplay is a stand out video, as it only uses one continuous shot on a dark, windy, rainy beach, but its so effective in the way Chris Martin just lip syncs the whole song, and it makes more impact than a really busy video. It also shows that performers don't always have to wear skimpy or expensive or bright outfits to be effective, as Chris Martin only wears plain black and it goes unnoticed.
The song Small Bump by Ed Sheeran also follows this type of video, by using only one continious shot, however this video has plenty going on in the background, which tells the story of the song. It is effective in creating emotion in the listener/viewer.
